Description: why did Leonardo keep Mona Lisawith him until the end of his life, especially if it was commissioned by the sitter‘s husband? I don’t think it was. Like my painting, it captures the tension between desire and something that cannot be. Something that Leonardo wanted to remember. Art historians have a different interpretation, but one must consider the context of the situation,, not the image.
